Mirissa Turtle Snorkeling Experience

Meet your experienced snorkeling instructor at the designated meeting point in Mirissa (exact location confirmed upon booking). Receive a comprehensive safety briefing covering snorkeling techniques, breathing through the snorkel, mask clearing, and how to behave around turtles. Get fitted with your snorkeling gear including mask, snorkel, fins, and life vest if needed. Wade into the shallow, calm coastal waters of Mirissa. Your instructor stays close at all times, ensuring your comfort and safety. Swim out to areas where sea turtles are commonly spotted—usually within 50-100 meters from shore in shallow reef areas. Observe green turtles and hawksbill turtles as they feed on seagrass and algae, or glide gracefully through the water. Your instructor points out turtles and helps you get good viewing angles while maintaining respectful distances. All observation is conducted without touching or disturbing the turtles—this is emphasized for their protection. Throughout the experience, underwater moments are captured using a GoPro camera operated by your instructor. You'll receive this video free of charge as a wonderful souvenir. The snorkeling session lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in the water, with total experience time of 2-3 hours including briefing and preparation.
